Construction of Kazakhstan's Highest Mountain Bridge Near Completion

Construction of the highest mountain bridge in Kazakhstan is entering its final phase on the Oskemen – Altai – Ulken Naryn – Katon-Karagay – Rahman Springs highway. The 175-meter-long structure spans the Pikhtovka River at a height of 45 meters above challenging mountain terrain.

The main structural elements of the bridge are fully complete, and crews are currently laying the asphalt concrete pavement. Paving operations are taking advantage of favorable weather conditions to meet all required temperature and technical standards (above +10 °C).

Quality control of materials and adherence to construction standards are being monitored by the East Kazakhstan branch of the National Center for Road Asset Quality.

The new bridge over the Pikhtovka River is a key infrastructure project along the route to Katon-Karagay District and the Rahman Springs resort, providing a safer and more modern travel experience for tourists.
